Cuervo y Sobrinos, the Swiss watch brand with its origins in Havana, is opening a boutique/museum in the central historic district of Havana. CYS will be the first international watch brand to inaugurate its own store on the island of Cuba. ¡°El Reloj Cuervo y Sobrinos¡± is located in a historic 19th century building opposite the brand’s original headquarters. My First Omega, but Lousy Timing!
I have a Philip 48mm Admirale on order from ShopNBC. Since it was delayed and i will be leaving town before the scheduled arrival date, I decided to leave work early and look around my local AD. Long story short, I walked out with this Omega Seamaster Chronometer. Amazing what a pretty salesperson, a generous discount and 12 months interest free financing will do!I know getting the Omega was a better choice than the Philip, but there is a significant difference in price.I got home and tried to cancel the Philip, but I couldn't as they are now in the process of shipping them. I still think I will keep the Omega and return the Philip, but I wish I could kep them both.

Where's the love for Wittnauer, either vintage or modern?
I don't see many Wittnauers posted here, either vintage or new. Is there no love for the brand among watch people?

Incoming daily "beater"... but I'm headed out of town!
Always love reading the incoming threads and time now to start one of my own. After a few months of going back and forth between an AP or PP, AP won. Have been enjoying my AP 44mm RG novelty on weekends, but was missing seeing an AP on my wrist during the week. What a different feeling on Mondays when I have to put on my Milgauss to go to work... first world problems :).Had located some pieces in Asia and in the Caribbean with great discounts but ended up wiring to DavidSW this afternoon because of the convenience and positive threads here (thanks Roger for the nudge!). Just waiting for my tracking...Should be expecting a package later this week but out of town until Sunday... will be looking forward to getting home to take some pics!
