- I got this as a gift for my daughter for Christmas. She is a medical student and needs the second hand. I'm hoping that she will like it. However, if not, I'll be glad to take possession of it!

Girard Perregaux 80480-D53-P661-JK6 wrist watches news:
A couple weeks ago, I posted about a Lord Elgin I got for $45. The case was alright, but the dial looked pretty good to me.Genejockey proceeded to tell me that it was a Continental and that the one I had had the wrong crystal, an improper redial, with the wrong fonts, wrong Elgin symbol, wrong crosshairs, and the 23 jewels was in the wrong spot. It was also missing the black enamel around the metal part of the dial. Besides that, it was pefect! Here's the offending piece Hey, at least it had the right movement.Well I found a donor on the bay last week. The case was beat up, the crystal was scruffed (so I tracked down a NOS crystalmore on this disaster later), and the dial was so-so.First step, I painted the dial with black enamel. That is easier said than done. As I thought, the donor's enamel was flaking, but it did show the ridges. I tried several times to duplicate this, but to no avail. My solution was to pour the paint on the outer dial and let it flow completely around. I

So my next purchase was going to be a 5270r but not I'll next year as I just got my 5905. However, I've been offered a 5270r from a reputable grey market dealer at a price that I don't know that I can pass up. My dilemma is that do I go to my regular AD and ask him to match? If he gets within a few thousand, I'll call it close enough, or do I just go with the grey dealer? Not sure my AD will be able to get close to the price.I'm fairly certain I'll pull the trigger but not sure about buying a watch like this from someone other than an AD. But like I said, price is too good to say no to. Would appreciate the experts feedback on this. First world problems - do I spend a 100k+ on a watch or let the money sit in the bank?
I've got two Rolex which I really like, a V-serial Submariner 16610 from 2009 and a 2016 Oyster Perpetual 116000.Although the 16610 is an older 'Red Seal' and the newer 116000 a 'Green Seal' both have had similar accuracy of around +/-1 second per day (averaged over a week) out of the box - which is fantastic.I was just wondering what your Rolex manages - and if there is any real difference between Red and Green?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hello all would like you guys opinions on this watch with a blue or black dial?I personally think the black dial really makes the white gold bezel stand out more but theres something about the blue? What one would you guys go for? Also the prices in uk are very high right now do you think they will come down in the next year or 2 on grey market? As its way above retail?
