My First Panerai Watch: The PAM 312 (3 Days Luminor)
I went to Hamburg this week to trade my DSSD for this gorgeous PAM 312..Since the DSSD don't fetch too good prices when they're resold, imho it was a fair even tradeI even got an extra OEM brown croc strap on top of the deal..My good friend, Marcus, went to the AD (Wempe) with me to inspect the PAM 312 that I chose plus another 312 that the AD had ordered from another Wempe branch for me to compare with..I want to thank Mr Peter Schweer of Wempe Hamburg for his GREAT service! Anyone Catch NCIS (Omega Plug)
Special Agent Anthony Dinozzo as switched to a new Omega Planet Ocean with the Orange Bezel. He used to Sport a Submariner. Not sure why the ¡°down grade¡±. But whatever reason they sure showed the watch up close and personal at least 3 times that I saw.In the movie 'Minority Report', Detective John Anderton, played by Tom Cruise, sported a Speedmaster Professional X-33, while another Cruise incarnation in War of the Worlds saw his a vintage Omega chronograph stop as the aliens touched down on Earth. Also FBI agent Fox Mulder of the X-files has been observed with a Deville Prestige to help him keep track of Greys and other suspicious extraterrestrials, as did Robert Dean, Enemy of the state as portrayed by Will Smith. Greetings all from chilly Toronto! I'm a new member here but owned a 116710LN for 7 years before parting with it. After a couple year hiatus I've re-ignited my passion for Rolex. A Sunday trip to my nearest AD (suburban Toronto ) to ask about getting my wife's engagement ring reset led to a discussion about Rolex and my new AD friend asking to me to wait here for a minute...I have something to show you. I'm on day 3 with it and am really appreciating the familiar feeling of my departed GMT but with a totally fresh color scheme.I never joined (or frankly knew of) TRF when I was a first time owner. Submariner date or no date, gmt batman
Deciding between these 3 for my first rolex. The no date looks cleanest but it makes no sense for me to buy a no date watch when I know I use my current watch to check the date at least 10x a day. Between the other 2 I am surprised the gmt list price only 400 more despite having the additional complication and all I note that the sub is superior in is depth for waterproof to 300m vs 100m. Am I missing anything? Thx
