I have been researching the options available for ¡°self sustaining watches¡±, mainly the mechanical automatic and also solar/kinetic quartz watches. I have a pretty good understanding now of the auto movements from Tag Heuer, Longines, Omega, Oris, Fortis, etc., but would like to get a better understanding of the players out there that offer solar or kinetic quartz watches. I know Casio has several brands including Oceanus and the G-Shock series, but honestly I don¡¯t like the negative stigma that comes along with a Casio, so that¡¯s out for me (yes, I¡¯m being a bit arrogant, but the way I see it is if I¡¯m spending upwards of $500+, I don¡¯t feel like explaining to someone why I bought a $500+ Casio!) I know Seiko has their kinetic and direct drive and Citizen their Eco-Drive solar, but what other players am I missing in this arena? Tag Heuer has there Calibre S series, which I believe is electro-mechanical similar to the Seiko Kinetics so no battery needs to be changed out? What othe
