Avoiding scam purchasers?I've read posts here and other sites about scammers and read a few heart-rending tales of people who shipped their watch but never got paid or never received the traded watch. I posted my Sea-Dweller to Craigslist in my city (Portland, Oregon) explicitly stating I want a face-to-face transaction, but mostly heard from people who wanted to pay me via Paypal and ship them the watch. When I offered to send the watch to "my friend" in their city for a face-to-face transaction, they quit emailing me. My questions are: What should I look out for, for example are there problems accepting Paypal payments I should be aware of? (These people all offered to pay using that service).Do you have any tips to protect myself when shipping the watch if I do sell it to someone in another state?Thanks for your help!Stevehere's a pic

Some of you may remember this poor watch from last year:Project Watch Club: JLC reference 2285Well, it's back and looking primo:Okay, enough teasing.movement and wrist shots to come when I take it to Sam to have the strap installed. This one was a very satisfying rescue. Am I allowed to say I'm smitten without sounding like I'm bragging? To be right up front, there is no way I'd recoup my investment but we'll get to the money portion later. I wondered if I should have the dial refinished at JLC and thought maybe the watch would look better without the cross hair pattern - maybe a bit less dated. We discussed it here: JLC refurbishingHere's a picture of the step down model to give you an idea:I see the above version on eBay with the 885 caliber about 3 or 4 times a year, but I've only seen 1 like mine in the last 2 years. Once again, let me emphasize this is NOT RARE! (Even if it was I wouldn't use the word rare because I'm sick of it from all the eBay surfing ) It is a lesse
