Girard Perregaux 49805 wrist watches news:
I have been searching for this watch and have found two at reasonable prices. I have always loved the look of this watch along with the history behind it. I have seen it at 2 reputable watch sellers on the web. They both list the watch as new in the bax with all papers.I have called two places and they both have the watch. One says it is 42mm and the other says it is 40mm. I had them both measure the watch and they say that those are the measurements. One is $300.00 less and has a 3 year warranty. Here are the photos of the two watches, Do the watches look right as far as sub dial placement and any other hints to tell if everything is ligament? This is the one they say is 42mm. Thanks for the help. Here is the other one that they measured at 40mm
Might be me? The movement on my ap black/red theme doesn't spin as freely as i think it should anymore? I don't wear it as much as i should but it stays in the winder (might be the cause?) bought it in april 2015, am i still within warranty period? anyone have had this problem?
I'm in the process of determining which reference will be my first PP complication. I love the 5131, but it's impossible to get. Im on the waitlist, but have no reasonable expectations that I'll ever get the lucky call. I've seen all the common AC references (5205, 5396, 5160, 5146), and while I like them, there is something about each one of them that doesn't suit me. I've seen pictures of the AC regulator online and it looks so cool. But, it is also near impossible to see in the flesh without placing an order. I've also seen little talk on TRF about it and I've only seen one incoming thread. So, help me understand what I'm missing. I don't want to get all excited about the 5235 only to realize there is something glaringly wrong with it. Any feedback would be helpful from anyone and particularly those that have seen it in the flesh. image.jpg
I have been mostly a lurker on these forums and have accumulated a decent collection of PAMs. I am looking to diversify my watch collection as it is very PAM heavy now. I have a 292 and 359 that I wear in rotation which I don't plan to sell. I also have 372, 390, 417, 448, and 587 that I haven't worn and just sitting in the safe.My rationale is that I will keep two of the 47MM which will be 587 and 372 and the two that I have in rotation. In this option, I will sell the 390, 417 and 448. 292 is my first PAM and holds some value to me. 359 I just really love the look and wear it often. The reason I am finally posting is I would like to hear your thought process on what you will likely keep and why. Perhaps there may be a reason that I am not thinking of. I was a die hard PAM fan but interest has been waning a bit. Thanks in advance for the discussion.
Two of my favourite subjects. There must be some cool pictures out there, let's see them?!My Bluesy and a (very fresh) Carrera 3.2 engine..
