Until now, no one has developed a production wristwatch with true retrograde linear displays. Urwerk’s UR©\CC1 achieves this feat. It has two horizontal indications displayed by two retrograde cylinders: one for the (jumping) hours, the other for the minutes. The watch is the result of more than three years of research, development and testing to ensure that the rotation and instant fly©\back of the large hour and minute cylinders is achieved without compromising accurate timekeeping.A vertical triple©\cam operating a toothed rack (visible through a window in the side of the case – see image below) rotates the minute cylinder. From zero to 60 minutes, the minute cylinder rotates through 300¡ã. On arriving at the 60©\minute mark, the cylinder reverses back to its original position in 1/10th of a second thanks to an extra©\flat linear spring. Hello everyone,I am 24 years old and just graduated a very academically intense program. My family has told me they will buy me a Rolex for graduation I Just have to Choose the one!This is an amazing gift and I am very blessed. I would like to pick a watch that is stylish for my age but will also be sylish as I mature.My budget is around 5-8k.I was looking at the submariner with the blue ringOr the GMT 2. I don't really understand the difference between the twoAnd no I will not be diving or using it for any intense environments. This will be my baby that I take out to a fancy dinner!Would I have to go used at that price range? Where can I buy the watch from? All my friends are telling me that Rolex is for old me but I can't get enough of them hahaThanks!

I have been a keen admirer of Audemars Piguet watches since I was about 16. Ten years later I’ve been offered a 14790ST for what seems like a decent price. One of my good friends is selling his for ?5500 having bought it a year ago for ?6100, box and papers included. Being a genuine friend he told me he went to a few jewellers and the most he was offered for it was around ?3000. Obviously I know how below the mark they will offer as they need to make money ontop. Also I know they cost a hell of a lot to get serviced. I’m not knocking anyone who was, but I wasn’t born into money and have made the odd bad investment in the past, so I can’t afford to lose out too much. I like the watch and I’ll hold onto it for years to come. In your opinion is this a good price and will I be disappointed when I decide to sell on further down the line. Thanks in advance.
