Yachtmaster - Setting the date problem
Hello Rolex Pro's:I'm hoping a few of you can help me out with an issue before I take my wife's 6 year old Yachtmaster in for repair. Long story short, the watch was serviced recentlyand evidently serviced improperly. I posted of these woes about a month ago on here, but no more whining about that; I promise. On the plus side, the watch is keeping good time. But I was winding the watch by hand today since my wife had not wore it much during the past week and noticed a problem. After winding it in the first position, I pulled the crown out to the second position to set the date. It still just winds. When I pull the crown out to the third position, it sets the time via the minute-hand as it's supposed to. No amount of finite pushing or pulling on the crown will allow it to advance the date wheel.Does this sound like anything serious? Obviously, I'm getting my money back from the watchmaker who did the work but would like to be educated a bit before taking it elsewhere. Thanks v

New Oris small seconds 1000M Diver
A few weeks back, I entered the Oris arena with a Maldives LE. Wore the Maldives a few days and really enjoyed the looks. Great dial, applied markers, orange lume, small seconds etc. But, just couldn't get used to the smaller 44mm sizing as well as the lightness of the titanium. So off the Maldives went to another prospective owner and the search was again on for another Oris.When I came across the 1000m diver in blue and 47mm, I knew this was going to complement my other watches as I do not have a 1000m diver nor a watch with a blue dial. Great wrist presence and it truly is a working mans diver with great looks to boot!!

Ok, I went to the downtown Rolex AD in Ft Worth TX on Saturday. I am 36, look about 20 - something. () I was wearing shorts a t-shirt, visor, and my green monster (see below), and I have several tattoos.Anyway, I went in while my wife stayed outside with her friend and the baby in a stroller. It was really obvious that nobody wanted to talk to me. I was the only person in the shop. Finally my wife went in (way more sophisticated than me), and they went up to her quickly and immediately noticed the Patek on her wrist. Then she said she was with me, and all of the serious bling came out and my rear was kissed to death. That is when I tried on the new Platinum President (see below)..
