Don't worry that there is no watch to go with this movement yet. The caliber CFB A1000 is a really nice little machine on it's own. A few months ago I got a chance to mess around with it in person. The first thing you notice about it, is that it looks very little like most mechanical movements that you have seen. There is a distinctive 'circuit board' look to it, that commands a more modern perspective than the classic nature of most mechanical movements. Zeroing in on my my first Omega
I just joined up and I'm anxious as all get out to buy my first Omega. It'll be a quartz because I'm an accuracy freak and I like the convenience. Given my price point and the fact that I've got small wrists, I guess I'm headed for the 300M Mid Size Quartz in black. Awesome watch. My question is how I deal with the local AD. I've dealt with this dealer before when I bought my Bedat #7 tank and he was flexible enough to knock about 15% off retail. I buy tons of electronic gear off the Internet but with a high end piece like the Omega, I'm hesitant. I live in Western NY and believe me, these aren't flying off the shelves around here.What should I expect ?? Are they bound by the retail price ?

15400 for 1st AP
Own several Rolex watches, Hulk, YG Sub and am considering an AP but don't know too much about them. Never seen one in the wild. It seems like the 15400 is the entry level watch, correct? I like the watch and the price point. What do you guys think about this model? Are the horror stories about high priced AP service true? Are they really scratch magnets? Resale value? Late model versions in mint or new condition are priced on gray market for 12,000 to 14,000. Buying advice? Thanks

Need help determining year and model
This was my Dad's old watch. He was a jeweler and I remember when he had the diamonds set into the bezel. Just doing some research on the watch now and can't seem to find one that matches the face of this one for identification purposes. Any ideas? Thanks

16520 prices
In the past month or two I've noticed that the prices for Zenith Daytonas seem to be on the rise. Whereas one could be had for around $8-9.5k a couple months ago, it now seems these are trading hands for $10-11k+. Has anyone else noticed this trend? I'm guessing this is a direct result of the discontinuation of 116520.
