As we wait with anticipation for John's review of his new Seiko Premier 6R20 Power Reserve, we will drool over a variation of this watch:
Hey guys, so guess what I got yesterday? Yup, my Steinhart GMT Ocean1 GMT 42mm Black (T0201 model). The pictures were taken with a Nikon D5000 with the Nikkor 35mm AF-S DX 1:1.8G lens.So let's break it down step by step:Opening the box - first look: Startling. Gorgeous contrast from the sapphire, face almost looked blueish! Grade: AThe bracelet - not the heaviest bracelet i've worn, but it is of solid construction and is comfortable. The fold-over clasp is a click-in, not a push-button, and it has the clip-clasp to keep it closed. Grade A-/B+. Wish it were a bit heavier and the clasp a bit more substantial, it feels like tin.The body of the watch itself is very solid SS. The caseback is a new type from Steinhart, and I love it (see above pic)!. The crown is marked with the Steinhart "S" symbol. The crown screws down and twists open very smoothly. Grade: AThe bezel is more of a matte black finish, of which I very much prefer. The silver numbers contrast well/crisp off of the
I should know this by now...Are there any conditions where it is harmful to set the time backward? For instance, if the date just changed and you need to set it back an hour or two how will that affect the date? Are there any modern watches that shouldn't be set back? Thanks!
Hi all,I would just like to know your opinion and personal tastes between these 3 watches, don't hesitate to write the reasons why you prefer this one to these, etc.For me I think it's in the order of the choices, 1st on bracelet, 2nd on strap and 3rd the 5167R, I am contemplating the eventual purchase of one, many have suggested the 5167 as I already have a Nautilus, but if ever I do get one it will be the 5726, what is the most important, having very different pieces to have a 3-4 piece collection as diversified as possible, or getting the pieces you love the most, even if 2 of them are very close?Anyways I think I would get on strap even if I kinda prefer the bracelet version, but in this case the preference is not huge and it would be better IMO to have one Nautilus on strap and one on bracelet since I have a 5712. Especially I contacted ABP in Paris, they can make any strap by special order for a Nautilus, they have done it before so it's no problem, the only thing they need is to
My wonderful girlfriend got me this for my birthday. I¡¯m worried it may have a repainted dial!
