Girard Perregaux 49800-51-151-BACD wrist watches news:
I was watching Flashbacks of a Fool starring Daniel Craig and in one scene he is in his Range Rover outside a restaurant holding his cell phone in his left hand up to his ear. On his wrist you can see the clasp from a PO. I could not determine whether it was the 42mm or 45mm PO. It doesn't matter, it's not the point. The point is DC is under contract to wear an Omega while in the role of Bond. In other pictures he can probably wear whatever he chooses or what is given him by the Costume Department and it does not necessarily have to be an Omega wristwatch. Yes?So since news of Daniel being a Rolex fan has surfaced recently and he is only shown on the Omega website as being an ambassador in the character of Bond, my question is, did he choose to wear the PO or did he not have a choice in the matter? If he chose to wear it, that would indicate that Rolex is not the only brand he likes and wears. We'll probably never know the answer. But it is interesting.~JB
Looking for some help with id'ing this watch. A model name and or model numberwould be awesome. Also any value would be greatly appreciated. Does have factory box and after market case. Thanks and God bless. Mark ps guess I'll have to post photo from my computer. Won'tSeem to work with my phone.
Thanks to DavidSW, i now have my first patek! First, I wanted to thank you all for putting up with my questions the last couple of weeks, basic as they probably were. I've definitely appreciated all of the help, input, pictures, etc. etc. of this great forum. It is one thing to be knowledgeable about watches, but to also have the patience to help out the less experienced among us (myself included) really makes this site great. So, here it is¡I was going back and forth between the nautilus (5711) and royal oak (15300) for some time, but somehow ended up with an aquanaut, and couldn¡¯t be happier.I have only had the piece for two days, but here are my impressions so far:Positives:-Very comfortable, as most have already said. I was initially concerned about the rubber strap, but have found it incredibly comfortable¡second only to my speedmaster on a leather strap and deployant.-Under the radar, as most have already said. I¡¯ve only worn the piece around for the last two days, but I don¡¯
Thinking about picking up one of the following. Any thoughts from the group are appreciated! 372, 422, 510 or 514. Wrists are 7.25 but kinda feel the 47mm is a bit big. Really like the 510 but love the brownish dials, markings of the others. Good problem to have, I know. Thanks! Any wrist shots are welcome.
Here's a few of questions for all you Subzilla experts out there. Is the PAM00187 Chrono 1000 the ONLY stainless steel 47mm submersible... and if so, why hasn't Panerai made another?? It seems that all the 47mm Subzillas and Slytech Subs are all made of Titanium. Could it be a weight concern, since it is a large watch? Personally, I like the heavy case of my Chrono 1000... and strangely enough, I don't really feel the weight when I wear it. Why does the PAM00187 have an external screw down date changer versus the normal winding crown position? I like this unusual feature as it is... quite out of the norm. Does, or did Panerai ever make a stainless, or stainless/titanium bracelet (the older crown guard type model... not the current straight link design) for a 47mm case / 26mm lugs?? If Panerai doesn't... they should. Would you know of a GOOD aftermarket version? Thanks!!B i l l
