- I received this watch and I was surprised at how and thin the strap was for an adult men's watch. It fits me fine so I'm happy. The face of the watch is very nice looking and feels pretty solid. The leather strap seems quite durable as well. I'm happy, but if you have fat wrists, it may be too for you.

Girard Perregaux 49805 wrist watches news:
I acquired an old Illinois box with a surprise inside...In 1924 The Illinois Watch company came up with a unique contest and presented something very cool to the winnersAn interesting story to follow...Here is the box, can you guess what was inside? (Not you Rick, I know you know!)
I need to find a bezel for the Navy SEAL Benrus Type I or II watch that was used during the Vietnam War. I have 3 cases, movements, dials and hand sets, but no bezels. I need at least one bezel to rebuild one of thse watches for myself. If anyone knows where I might find one please let me know.Dave
First, I've heard that leaving automatic mechanical watches near electrical devices such as Televisions and computers can temporarily damage their functionality and throw off their time. Is this true? If so, could wearing an automatic watch while using a computer for lengthy amounts of time have the same effect?Second, how exactly do you change the wrist band on a watch (specifically a Seiko Spirit)? Is it something you can do at home, or do you have to take it to a jeweler (and if so, how much does it usually cost)?
Hi All,Have been looking out for a vintage Navitimer for a while and think I got it sorted. Its a black on black dial and has a serial number from 1955 I think. The interesting thing is that it has no wings on the dial, only a B above Breitling and the balance cock has BOW on it rather than the usual WOG. Does anyone know why?I have also the receipt for a service from 2006, so I am pretty sure it is all genuine....I hope. Many thanks, hope you like it.
I¡¯ve been following the thread on the Daytona C in this forum. Unless I¡¯ve sort of generalize, it appears that there are a couple of forum members that own both the White and the Black Daytona C based on responses given from queries such as which color to choose or Daytona Club.In this regard, I would like to ask for those members who own both colors for the reasons on buying both. I would say that these members are indeed lucky on getting both colors given the long waiting list and the difficulty in getting even one Daytona C.Great weekend ahead and happy holidays!
