Would you ever breave to open your watch?
I think i know the answer most of you will give, but regardless, we all have our reasons. I for one have no problem opening watches, as long as you have the right tools and are in a proper environment. Over the years I've acquired enough tools of high enough quality, that with a good course, I could possibly become a watch maker, I've been able to fix some small problems on older watches by myself! If you think you've got the dexterity/courage, really, I encourage you try it out. My incentive to learn how to open watches, remove movements, clean dials, crystals and what not, was the fact that the watchmakers here in Brazil (at least the ones I know) are good at fixing problems, but lack some of the equipment and attention detail that I (and i bet many of you) require from a serviceman.
