Invicta 14473 wrist watches news:
Little blast from the not too distant past. Looking for that Franck Miller look without being too cheap? This might be the piece for you. Like the Franck Muller Long Island (and watches from other brands before that), the Gevril Avenue of Americas watch collection has a very bold look that is a very appropriate look for the right sort of mature man. This isn't a watch for kids or people right out of college. The long rectangular case and wild serif font speak to those who have more life experience under their belts. This is especially true given the classic style triple calendar display on the dial on this specific limited edition model. The Avenue of Americas model is still the mainstay of the Gevril collection, but this Automatic Moon Phase version was made as a limited edition of 500 pieces. While I tend to dig mostly round watches, case shapes like this are interesting. I imagine a guy in a thick suit wearing a watch like this puffing on a cigar - regular 'fat cat.' It has a most ca
The Autodromo Monoposto is the kind of watch that can't help but illicit strong reactions from people. It doesn't look quite like any watch you've seen before, yet doesn't betray what a watch should be. Inspired by the single seat racecars of the early 20th century (monoposto being Italian for single-seat), the Monoposto melds automotive history with elements of classic watch design, to make something altogether unique and exciting. It's as much a car-watch for watch people as a watch for car people. On the surface, you have an elegant case and dial design that border on dress, yet have a distinctly technical component that touches on the vehicular inspirations. And of course, there is the bold and potentially polarizing red line on the domed crystal that refers to the tape or paint mechanics would put on tachometers to inform drivers of their engine's limit.Autodromo Monoposto ReviewCase:? Hi all,This is my first time dealing with '1st March' with my 5146 and have a couple questions - some are theoretical so I hope you'd humor me Supposing the watch shows 28th Feb today, if it is left 'uncorrected' would it display 29 tomorrow, 30th and 31st thereafter? The reason I ask is that I like to always set the time/date of the watch to the previous day and using the hour/min hands, move across midnight into the 'day' I'm setting the time for. Therefore, I have two options for setting my 5146:1) as per the manual, simply adjust the time to a safe spot (6am for example, outside the 8pm-2am and 9am-11am date/moonphase activation zones), then simply push the date to the 1st, which should cause the month wheel to switch over to March as well. Updating the rest is straightforward.2) First set to 6am (or stay in a safe spot), then set the date to 31st February (month setting is left untouched). Now, pop the crown out and move the hour hand through midnight rolling over to the 1st. T
I got this in a lot of 18 watches from the Bay for a mere $10. It's currently not working. Anyone ever heard of Eden-Matic? I like the looks of it. Just wondering if it's worth cleaning up and getting working again.
Wuz so looking forward to visiting (for the first time) as it¡¯s the only place in Shanghai that showcase PP. What disappointment - when we arrived, the security guy was very rude and shouting at people taking photos outside the building, no a/c inside and sweating my ass off, collection so small not a single Nautilus or grand complication to view and their is no service level at all. Goodness...what a difference compared to the salon in Geneva. No wonder all the mainlanders are flocking to CH and HK to buy.
