Graham 2TZAS.B02A wrist watches news:
The HODINKEE Collectors Summit is really taking shape. Not only will we have the likes of Aurel Bacs, Jason Singer, John Reardon, and Philippe Dufour in the house for completely candid, behind the scenes conversation with you, but we are thrilled to announce a new addition the schedule. And it's a big one. Like, to the tune of $24,000,000. Daryn Schnipper is the international chairman of the Sotheby's watch department. She is the woman responsible for selling the most expensive, most important watch on the planet, twice. Yes, Daryn is the woman who first set the record at $11 million dollars for the Henry Graves Supercomplication – one we thought would stand for all eternity – only to break it this past November by selling the very same watch for over $24 million. She'll be at the 2015 HODINKEE Collectors Summit to tell you what it was like first discovering this horological giant and then going through the process of researching it, understanding
I might be on the wrong forum, but I would like to know about Swiss Legend watches and what folks think about them. Good or Bad they are nice looking pieces.
This is a cross post from the Omega section.I'm a full time college student. So this was a big purchase for me. I wish I have mad photography skills like you guys.My Swiss Army pn wanted to open up my first Swiss watch package :)A really nice Omega wood box...wish I can take better pictures. My Seiko is jealous!Good ole Poly watch!!Wrist shot....the bracelet is really big right now. I'll get it size tomorrow and post a better wrist shot.I really wish I can capture this amazing movement. My best friend said he owe me a gift for my 18th birthday. So at that day, I told him “Get me an automatic watch. Seiko is a good brand. My grandfather's Seiko is still running after 40 years!" My friend presents me with a Seiko Spirit (glad he did his research). It didn’t take me long to discover TimeZone. I Google “watch forum" and TimeZone was the first link. The forum was very overwhelming at first. I didn’t understand a single thing. I was only looking at all the
Hi guys, I have a question and any help or tips would be grateful! We replace watch batteries on a fairly steady basis, for used watches of all brands. Our current issue is that it appears that our new batteries are draining all or mostly before we even install them!We store them in a suitcase. Each size battery is stored together in mini baggies or small fishing tackle style boxes. We usually remove them from the individual packaging because it allows for space saving.Ive never had an issue before (in the last 3 months) with drainage of mass quantity but lately they're all dead!Is it the storage? Are they draining by being against each other in storage? Is it too hot? (It's basic room temperature with AC on during weekdays)Are they just dud batteries? (usually bought from China in 100 qty packages)Any help from a pro or someone who just knows would be awesome. Thanks everyone!Michelle
Was thinking of selling my 1990 Pepsi bezel GMT master and maybe getting the new and updated version BLNR in steel with new bracelet and ceramic bezel?Any thoughts on either way on doing this? Thanks,Dave
