Hamilton H76456955 wrist watches news:
On Wednesday evening December 8, Antiquorum will offer 365 modern and vintage timepieces at its Manhattan headquarters, including a historically significant Rolex GMT-Master that belonged to Lt. Don Walsh who, along with Jacques Piccard, piloted the bathyscaphe Trieste to the deepest point in the world’s oceans. This important Rolex GMT-Master, ref. 6542, belonged to U.S. Navy Lieutenant Don Walsh, the Officer-in-Charge of the Navy’s Bathyscaph Trieste. Lieutenant Walsh and Jacques Piccard piloted the Bathyscaph Trieste to the deepest place in the world’s oceans: the Challenger Deep in the Marianas Trench, 200 miles southwest of Guam. The Trieste descended to a depth of 35,800 feet. Subsequent to the dive, in April 1960, Rolex gifted Lieutenant Walsh a Rolex GMT- Master. Also in recognition of his achievement, Lieutenant Walsh was awarded the Legion of Merit, the Navy’s second highest non-combat medal, by President Eisenhower at a ceremony held at The White Hous
Here is one of those interesting watches that you'll dare not see being sold in America - at least most likely not. Which prompts me to remark once again, that there are many a splendid brand of timepiece that are simply not marketed or sold here in the States. So this is a watch by Zannetti, and determined Italian watch brand that I've spoken about before. This watch is the Squelette XL Automatic, and offers a nice set of easy to live with features. There are also some engraved decorations on the bridges. It is a nicely done movement for those who can really get into a skeletonized dial - and in this case a totally non-existent dial. Still, you have hour marker on the bezel, and?? a few around the face itself. The hands and some of the hours markers are covered in lume, also being eas
I've been bitten big time by the Citizen AT bug. And I love my Chrono-Time AT, especially the movement. But after seeing this Attesa version of the H610 movement, I think I've found my Holy Grail. I couldn't resist!Should arrive early next week - and I can hardly wait.
