Due to popular demand by RJ007, I am posting up my favorite Hamilton! Quite honestly I have no idea what model it is. It was my Grandfathers and is engraved with his initials. It is so small by today's standards but I enjoy it very much. Thanks for the kick in the butt encouraging me to break it out!FaceCrownCaseObligatory wrist shot!
I just received an email from Tim, at Bluedail saying that Bluedial was replacing the movement in the Boulton that I received from them. He told me that it appeared that the case had been opened and that effectively "voided" the warranty but they were going to do this anyway. I did open the case to check the battery and so, let this be a warning. I guess that simple thing should not be done. But. in their behalf, they are honoring their grey market warranty. I replied to Tim and asked if in fact the movement that they were going to put back in the watch would be a Hamilton. In fairness to Tim at Bluedial, he has not had time to respond to this question at this writing. I did have an issue with Tim as I emailed him asking about my watch and after 24 hours of no response, emailed him again. He in essence told me there was no reason to email him every day. Not a good responce to a customer. But, it seems all is working to getting a working Boulton in my hands. If, they do as they say, and
Well the FedEx driver just delivered my shiny new Seiko Premier - here's a lousy iPhone photo:My initial impressions are reasonably positive. The only slight disappointment noted was the push pin links - I was hoping for more at the over $1000.00 price point. The rotor is very well decorated. I was REALLY surprised that both the day of the week and day of the month indicators are "quick set."More and better photos this weekend.
Hi all,Does anyone have insight about the limited edition Seamaster made for the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer?Apparently only 194 were made (194 full size and 194 mid size). While the technical specs are nothing special, I am wondering if being a limited edition of less than 200 will make it attractive price wise. What do you think it should fetch (box, no papers, no leather straps)? Has been worn but is otherwise in good condition.Any feedback is appreciated.
