I've been interested in a Junghans Max Bill Chronoscope since they first came out several years ago. I recently noticed that Junghans has modified the Max Bill designs for their Meister series adding metal indicies and switching the ¨¹ber-thin bauhaus hands for dauphin hands. This changes the look from a German Bauhaus 1960's to more of a general European 1950's style similar to the retro-50's style seen in the recent Tissot Visodate and Orient 60th Anniversary models. Which dial design would you go for: I'm most interested in the silver/white dials rather than the black dialed versions I avoid silver hands on black dials due to legibility issues. 1) Max Bill Chronoscope dial with date. My Sparta Experience
I would like to share my recent experience with a Sparta 1 I purchased from Orbita.Like most of my friends and peers, I own a couple of automatic watches. Recently, I decided to purchase a couple of watch winders for convenience. After much research, I decided on an Orbita because people in forums have only good things to say about their Orbita.I needed at least 2 winders for the watches I wear most often. So, I decided to buy the relatively cheaper Sparta One for my cheaper watch (Baume & Mercier). I planned to purchase another with TPD programming for my Chopard L.U.C. should the Sparta prove to be a worthy product.However, I was sorely disappointed when I received the winder. Out of the box, the winder did absolutely nothing when turned on. I left it on for a few hours to no avail. So, I decided to open the back to check if the batteries were fitted properly. Advice Needed - 5164 / 67 x 5711
Hello All,Hope everyone is enjoying summer! To summarize what I'll explain below - I don't know which one to get!!! I do have what I feel are legitimate concerns though, and would love some advice from those who may have these ref's themselves. I had a very nice experience at the Beverly Hills AD today, got to handle the 64 / 67 and 5711. That being said, my concerns on the Aquanaut line were not thoroughly eased by the salesperson. I didn't get the answers I was looking for - so I turn to all of you. Let me start by saying I know I want an ' Everyday Beater ' for lack of a better term. Something I can wear while running, swimming, biking etc. ( I don't baby my watches, they get worn - SkyDwellers come along paddle boarding, Subs go to the gym and Daytonas go to the track, etc )I love the Aquanaut, I'm pretty sold on it, theres the slightest chance of going 5711 but who knows - regardless, I'm a bit concerned that they can't stand up to the rigors of a active daily routine.
