Greetings All, Found this to be the best place on the net for help & assitance with all questions on watches. Thx in advance for your time & patience with my following question. I am considering the above watch, it is a brand new watch @ a AD that they are clearing out. My question is what are the main/major differences +/- between this model & the current model the Mark Vl which I would assume is the model that relplaced the Mk lV as I understand the MklV was in production from around 2006-08?. I have not been able to find a MkV so am I correct in assuming they skipped a model & went straight from the Mk lV to the Vl? As well I have done a failry extensive net/google search on the Mark lV & have found absolutely or virtually nothing onb the Mk lV almost as if it never existed, found 1 release memo/ad but not on line reviews or owners reviews etc. So my question is, Why? Was it a dud, any serious problems ppl couldn't excuse & rejected it for the $ becuse
Howdy WTFers! I've been enjoying my seamaster for the last two years. While it is the only watch I own, I decided I didn't want to wear it every single day because it has been exposed to a few Knicks while working at the desk. I decided to put it away and only wear it on Sundays, when I'm wearing my Sunday best but I've gotten so used to having something on my writs, I felt naked without it. I actually bought a cheap $10 casio and thought that would've enough to tide me over. I was happy with my purchase until my co worker got into my ear. I feel my wrist needs something nice than a casio so I bought a Seiko 5 807SNK2, which is okay to wear while at home but...not good enough for the office I've been looking at a few different watches and am now afraid that I've been bitten by the collector's bug. I want to get a Seiko with a Pepsi dial next, followed by an orange monster next month or so. I've read most of the Tips posted here, but I'm unsure about some things. Is it recommended to b
I was wondering if anyone from the Boston area will be interested in meeting up for another GTG. We had one last year and met at Joe's American Bar & Grill on Newbury Street. It was a great time with food, drinks, watches, and meeting other fellow members. We can meet there again, or if any one else has any other thoughts and suggestions they are greatly appreciated.I'm thinking and possibly looking at April 5th as the date. Reply here if you are interested.Bring your watch collection have a beer or two, and bond with us fellow watch geeks. Hoping to see some familiar faces from last year and some new faces for this year.
Just walked into an AD and all the new 42mm Offshores were sitting in the case. Called another AD in the Midwest and they just received them too. Had no idea they were coming out so soon...wasn't expecting to be tempted until the fall!
