Hublot Hublot 31228 wrist watches news:
As I'm sure we are all aware, things can get very crazy when it comes to collecting/acquiring watches. There are just so many to choose from and often I find myself unable to stay focused, keeping my "eye on the prize(s)", so to speak. Now, there are quite a few different pieces that I want, such as a Breitling Colt, Stowa Flieger and maybe even that grail Blancpain! That said, I have come to the conclusion that I am most definitely an Omega guy.;) To that end, I thought I would chase some vintage pieces, but with a theme. I recently acquired the perfect Omega Seamaster Cosmic that I had been after for a year, complete with the dial, movement and features I sought (day/date, stainless case) from my birth year of 1969. I am going to try and get a Seamaster and Constellation with the same features from the same year, with a Dynamic an outside possibility. I may eventually drop the feature requirement to add a DeVille and Speedmaster as well.First, what does everyone think of this
I've always liked Panerai for the simplicity of the dials. The original models always had a simple black face with stark, easy to read numbers. That is the appeal to me. Post Vendome, they seem to have gone over the top with new models and so many now appear cluttered. It seems odd to have chronos, gmt, power reserve on a watch whose original intent was to be easy to read underwater and in the dark. What do you think of all the extra "stuff" that they have added over the past few years? Does it make the watch more attractive or does it detract?
I have been looking into the new 26331IP as well as the QEII Cup LE 15403IP...the new fully polished platinum bezels seem to be quite attractive
They seem exceptionally few and far between. Actually, stumbled into one at Macy's of all places. Think it was a Chronomat. Bracelet was impressive to be sure. Given the number of PM Rolex's on bracelet, was wondering if there any members that sport one. Pictures of course are welcome.
I was wondering if all of the new ceramic PO's and ceramic Seamaster's have the red dot and security engraving (Omega globe logo) on the case back?I was talking to a friend about it and we were wondering if anyone has a definitive answer - I thought all new ones would have these attributes, yet it seems like there are some without???Thanks for your help!
