IWC IW502608 wrist watches news:
So I stumbled across this 1970s Seamaster Omega shortly before the Ebay auction ended. Only had one picture, but the seller had good feedback so I went for it. Now that it's in hand, I'm not so sure I made a good decision. I don't have the means to open the case back properly, so I can't take a look at the movement. The things that I'm worried about the lack of "Swiss Made" any where on the dial, there is no "box" around the day/date, and the hands have tails (which I've read is incorrect?)The seller stated the crystal, date wheel and crown were recently replaced. The crown is nice and shiny, with the Omega symbol, the date wheel is more silver than champagne. Sorry for the poor pictures, they are all I was able to get last evening. The Face reads: OMEGAAUTOMATIC Seamaster COSMICAnything else I should be looking for? Or do these things appear correct for this vintage?Didn't notice this until I got better pictures, the black under the feet is not a shadow, it is printed on the
Hello everyone,My name is Paolo Viviani, and I¡¯m a University professor with a passion for PP watches deserving a ¡°money is no object¡± attitude, which sadly I cannot afford to have. I'm being offered by a private individual this PP Ref 130 Cal 13 Chronograph:Patek Philippe 130.jpgAs shown, the watch was commissioned by Hausmann & Co., a prominent retailer in Roma. The extract from the archive reports the following information:- Movement n¡ã 860499- Calibre 13 chronograph register, manual winding- Case n¡ã 616127- Style Reference 130,18K yellow gold- Type of dial. Silvered, raised hour markers in yellow gold. Tachometer scale- Date of manufacture. 1937- Date of sale. February 22nd, 1938.Moreover, papers show that the watch underwent a full service by Patek in 1992.The seller has told me that the watch had been up for sale in Geneva early this year, but blamed the failure to find a buyer on the unrealistic estimate suggested by the auction house. In fact, by looking at the link relati
..........I think I might have gotten a good deal here .....whatcha think ? ......a 1909 South Bend, 7 jewel, 260 grade, model 1, stem wind, lever set .....what is caled a Victory case, ( I am assuming it is some white metal....not white gold filled, ......any help on that would be apprieciated) ......anyway, here's the watch without the bezel and crystal......the movement:and the watch with the crystal .....how would you rate the condition of this watch ......oh and it is running just fine.......
Hello to all,I have ended up on this forum after several hours searching for a solution to my problem. The problem being my watch belt has broken. I can't get it fixed here because no one has the parts needed (I live in a small town in europe). The watch itself can be seen here. The design was taken from Chanel J12 watch. One of the metal parts in the buckle that bends and holds the belt in place snapped because I used to bend it too often like when I was bored or nervous..I can't find anywhere to buy this buckle part or the buckle itself. The only way out i found is to buy the $5k watch itself!!! Please help.
Though I am not ready to research and start obsessing about the Patek brand, I was able to try a few on today at an AD, here is the gold one. Very nice watch. The platinum one that they had came with clear caseback, it was a very nice movement. Both watches were priced too high for me, but it sure was fun to put the rolls-royce of watches on my wrist however brief...
