- Love hidden watches which appear to be bracelets. I kept this but thought stones MUCH paler than appeared on TV. Frogs are hard to distinguish from brass background.

IWC 5002/01 wrist watches news:
My wife and I would like to thank Piaget and HODINKEE for our trip to Switzerland to visit Piaget, and to see its manufacture in La Cote aux Fees, and its headquarters in Geneva. Here are a few of my thoughts:Proud of being Piaget and taking pride in one's work: When I was listening to Yves Bornard (who's been with the company for 40+ years!) talk about the history of Piaget I could see his glowing pride. When the watchmakers showed us what they are working on, I too could see their pride in being Piaget, and how proud they are with their work. Yves takes out an employee log book from the 1940s. It is old, and its pages are yellow, and falling apart. How many companies can show visitors something like that today?Bao and Yves in discussionWhat it means to be true manufacture. One of the things that stuck with me, and help me get a clearer picture of what it means to be a manufacture was Yves explaining the importance of having the movements assembled up in the Jura Mountains where it is
Just picked up a Seiko 6309-7049. (i didn't even know what it was called before my research here)First thing i did was to take it to my watchmaker and get it cleaned and serviced along with new seals and a pressure test.It runs great about +3 seconds a day I know nothing about Seiko's except for my monsters but saw this and had to have it. Its pretty beat up .......should i change the bezel? Where would i get one if i should? Its a got a few scratches in the crystal, should i get that changed as well? Again where do i find one? Should i polish the case? It appears that it never has been polished as all edges are still sharp. Anything you can tell me would be greatly appreciated
I've been out of the AP loop for a bit but I'm back thanks to our friend David SW!
Just had a magnificent 2 days !!Our dealer Degreef ( Belgium - Brussels) invited us for an extraordinary 2 days in Geneva.Day 1, a visit in the Patek museum, I guess it's my 4th or 5th time but every time you are in the museum you discover new art or new important watches. Most of you know that it is forbidden to take pictures so unfortunately I can't post pictures. After the museum we had some spare time so a few of us went the the Patek salon, ofcourse I was one of them LOLAs usual the staff is very helpful and VERY friendly. I can't remember her name but a women from Belarus showed us everything we wanted to see and afterwards she took 3 of us upstairs to the 5th floorWhat a view !!!the furniture just screams classThank you 'lady from Belarus :-) ' !!!Afterwards, back to the hotel and getting ready for a nice diner.I did several manufacture visits in the past and you never know who the other invitees are, this time it was a PERFECT group. Really met some very friendly man and wom
