One of the questions I'm asked most by watch collectors is "what's next?" in the world of vintage watches. We've seen the likes of Universal Geneve and Heuer really climb over the last few years, and Rolex and Patek – well – you know about them already. The quality, the design, and pure, unadulterated watchmaking make these two categories so fun to observe, and the rarity and value make them fantastic places to spend your hard-earned money, in particular relative to vintage Patek. What come close to the Seamaster; looks wise?
I mean as far as blue chrono's go? That spacific blue w/ blue chrono's and a s/s bracelet? W/o the Omega price.I have this Seiko that I LOVE, just wish the chrono's were blue and a numbered bezel.....opinions?

strap maker for omega?
love the bullhead, the strap that is standard is fine, however, i do like exotics and I'm thinking that a red rally strap (the one with the large to small diameter holes) of maybe croc or some kind of lizard with grey stiching would look good.....any recommendations on a strap maker? the tricky thing with a bullhead is that the pointy strap, not the buckle strap, has a notch cut out giving the bezel crown room to work without contacting the strap....ps i live in canada if that makes any difference

Date wheel question
I was winding/setting a DJ yesterday from stopped and do I want I usually do and set the hands to 6. In this case I wound back, can’t remember why but I did. The date reversed. At the 6 I decided to set the date first. As I proceeded I felt the gear in what I assume was a clutch position, it wasn’t engaged, I felt resistance. I stopped and wound forward, knowing I was at the 6am and date did not change. I carried on with the hands and it proceeded to click solidly at the 12am date change but only after an additional 24 hr revolution. All is good now, date wheel was changing as it should too. Question is, what happened originally, was it because I wound back and the date mechanism wasn’t fully engaged by winding back to 6am? Just curious to learn for the future.
