IWC IW376413 wrist watches news:
Here is the beautiful and uncommonly sporty new Polo Chronograph from Piaget that debuted at SIHH this year. What I really like is this video from TheTimeTVwatches-dealer that has Piaget themselves casually discuss the watch. I love hearing that smooth French accent discuss this fine offering, from a fine watch company. Interestingly enough their primary focus, is my primary focus: ease of life with the watch. They aren't going on about the luxury of the watch, but rather the functions, comfort and overall quality. It is really refreshing to hear that (especially from Piaget) that them going on about how this watch "defines haute horology."You can tell that the new Polo Forty Five watch is something new for them. The first titanium Piaget watch, and certain the most sporty. As I have mentioned before, I think this is also the first Piaget watch to ever use a rubber strap. It is an evolution on the Polo theme, and we will see where the new direction takes Piaget. Another benefit of vide
I finally have my favorate Longines back from Geneva - its a pity it has to go back!!Truely the golden age of watch making for Longines - they should return to their roots and make some hommage peices - they made so many fantastic chronographs!!!
My vote is for the Rolex Sub, which is still classic and inspired a whole genre of timepieces. What's your choice?
As I continue my quest for my first Patek, I have to say I'm leaning towards a watch with a gray slate sunburst dial. We've already discussed the 5146g vs the 5146p (both of which I adore), but now the 5140p has gained my attention (although I don't know if I can afford it??). The 37mm case, as well as the flatter 9mm height, would fit my thinner wrist more appropriately; but my concern is the the hour and minute hand. As opposed to the 5146, they are bare metal, rather than coated with luminescence, which to me, makes them more difficult to read over this complicated dial. And if you look at all the images of the 5140p on the internet, the hands are strategically placed at 10:10, to avoid covering the complications. I would welcome any comments on the legibility of the 5140p and also welcome any pics of this watch with the hands covering any of the complications. Thanks again for your help. By the way....does anyone know of an AD where I can actually try on the various watches
Hi All,I've got an anniversary coming up and am thinking about getting a pair of his and her watches to celebrate this milestone. To compliment my own collection, I am looking at a rectangular watch. At the moment, I am considering two brands, Patek and JLC. I am thinking about perhaps the Patek 5124g for me and the Patek twenty 4 for her or a pair of Jaeger-LeCoultre Reversos. For example, a Reverso One Duetto for her and a Reverso Tribute Duo for me, or the Tribute to 1931 for me and the Reverso One R¨¦¨¦dition for her. Alternatively, I could just get her a Vacheron Constantin Patrimony to pair with the one that I already have and get something different altogether for myself. What are your thoughts on these options?I'd also love to see pics of any other members who have paired with the wife.
