New to collecting Hamiltons. Love the quality and look of the 1920''s -1950's models. Here's one I can't identify. Movement is 982. Can anyone help?thanks
Well, a friend of mine gave me this LeJour Chronograph a while a back. I haven't a clue about Vintage Watches, let alone restorations. I really like the style of the watch and although I'm not sure the pictures captured it, the dial has a really nice tropical feel to it. The watch also a surprising amount of lume left. The questions on my mind about this watch:Is this worth repairing? Is this a desirable model? (I believe it's 50's to 60's)Should I sell it for parts? If it is worth repairing, any suggestions of a watchmaker in the NY, NJ, CT area that would be able to work on this? Thanks Guys!
My Zenith can in today, I think I now have my collection right where I want it. At least for now. Great watch, love the look. This one is a keeper here is the sellers pic.
