IWC IW3706 wrist watches news:
Pardon if you don't care for such things as pointing out what watches people in films and on TV are wearing. Some people are vividly obsessed with game of? "watch spotting." And when I dedicate to watching a show, I am pretty keen on spotting what timepieces people are wearing. Being a fan of survival shows (total guilty pleasure), I've noticed what Les Stroud wore in Survivorman, and what Bear Grylls has been wearing over the past several seasons of Man vs. Wild (on the Discovery Channel). As many fans of the watch know, Bear started with higher-end watches such as a Breitling Emergency and then a Bremont and started to get more reasonable with the watches he beats up. The last two watches he was wearing have been Casios. These of course make great choices given their operation and value (not to mention durability), but I have a feeling Casio is helping him out by providing suitable watches for his tasks. Not that there is anything wrong with this. I think it is good to display suitab
My late mother found this Speedmaster on a walking/running track 30 to 35 years ago. IIRC she posted a sign and ran a newspaper ad trying to locate the owner. We knew it was a nice watch. She gave it to me and it has sort of languished in various drawers and cubbyholes since then. I was cleaning out a desk drawer today and found it and decided to do a quick google search and was pleasantly surprised at what even a rough example brings. But I would like to know a little more and hope some of the members here can share some of your knowledge.[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]If I were to replace the SS bracelet would I want a 1171 and the 633 end pieces? Or would another model be more appropriate? Is it appropriate to ask on this forum for recommended service companies and if so who?Do I even want to attempt to remove the back to find serial# or leave that to a repair tech. I have an adjustable spanner that would probably do the trick but I really would hate to damage this piece further. Is
Hi Folks ,We just get DJ ref 69173 for my wife yesterday Andy
How hard is it to pull the crown out on yours? My TT3 is a nail breaking experience...anytime I do an adjustment trying to stop the second hand dead at 12 often results in slipping, bent nail...suffice, I dread having to adjust the watch. Of the 7 watches in this household, the others are quite easy to pull the crowns and such. Screw downs I especially like.
Hey all,Thought I would post up that the small community of WTF members here in Jordan had a successful get-together. Granted there were only two of us, but nonetheless it was a great time. We had a nice meal and a few beverages at a restaurant called the Blue Fig. We talked watches and a myriad of other topics for a few hours. I was joined by Omartab, who was sporting a gorgeous black and gold Submariner, and I was wearing my trusty beater, the Citizen 6400.
