- It looks great. I have received many compliments on my watch. I am very glad I ordered it. It is exactly what I wanted, and almost purchased one that cost so much more. I am thinking of getting the gold tone as well.

I found this Omega in a Pawn shop a month ago, the bezel was stuck, bracelet was polished bright and the tip of the second hand had faded, it looked like this:The bezel freed up after being scrubbed with jewlery cleaner, I took it to my jeweler today and had this Blue Croc Strap (from Watchrick) installed and had the battery changed, the seals checked and the tip of the second hand colored back to red. I like it better this way!
Hi,i am a new member and hopefully a new patek owner. i am arranging to purchase a vintage golden ellipse from a private antiques dealer who is some what away from me, i plan to take a professional or arrange to go to an independent dealers with buyer to certify authenticity as the watch has no box or papers. To save myself a pointless journey i wondered if an experienced member of this forum could tell if its not genuine by some photos before i travel to conclude the verification and hope fully deal. if it is genuine im not to worried about the papers as its the cheapest one ive seen and i dont plan on reselling it hopefully it will be the start of a beautiful collection. i would also like some opinions on the golden ellipse, i choose this to start with as it hasnt changed externally as far as i know from inception till now my logic behind this was that it wouldnt seem like an obvious vintage if it was in good condition unless im mistaken (avoiding looking like the old guys in the por
So I've had my 2254.50 for nearly 12 years now. Recently, it's been replaced by an Explorer II as a daily wearer. I'd like to bring it back into the circulation but wanted to make a few changes. Any mods out there? PVD coating? A nice rubber strap? Etc.I swapped out for a fake-rubber strap that I'm not too keen on - any links to nice ones (e.g. a Rubber-B one). Just checking.
...along with the GMT calibre for the cal. 8XXX range. Perpetuelle were among the first to report itNot sure if I'm sold on the design of this one, I was hoping they would utilise a rotating 24hr bezel like on the Aqua Terra Chrono GMT. This reminds me of the most recent Seamaster Pro 300m GMT, I just think having the 24hr markers on the dial makes it a little busy. Anyway, it's a 43mm case, will be sure to catch some attention, and I'm certain it will be the first of many GMT watches Omega will produce with this new cal. 8605All the best,Chris
