Richemont Specialist Watchmaker Sales Up 34%
At its Annual General Meeting held today in Geneva, Richemont announced that its overall sales for the five months ended August 31 increased by 29% at actual exchange rates. At constant exchange rates, sales increased by 35%. The Specialist Watchmakers saw an increase of 34% at constant exchange rates, and 28% at actual exchange rates. On a region-by-region basis, Asia-Pacific lead the way with increases of 59% at constant rates and 46% at actual rates. It's that time again....
So a couple of weeks back I decided that I owned too many watches from the "boutique" brands so I decided to sell one. One of the three was a gift from my wife. Can't sell that. One was super inexpensive and very unique (and my wife LOVES that one as much if not more than I do). The third was a gorgeous watch, but the brand has some real odd styles on the horizon, and has newer and similar styles to mine at a lower price point, so it seemed like a no-brainer to try and cash in on that one. So I did. I didn't make much money on the flip, but I lost none, so I am not unhappy :) .On Friday, the search began for my next watch. On Saturday, the search got more exciting thanks to some very lucky predictions on the UFC (40-1 odds to pick the 5 fights I got right). BUT, I am a lightweight, so that number is a little optimistic, since I only risked SIX DOLLARS. So here I sit w/ about $900 burning a hole in my pocket (if I just use the "found money") . In search of Ceramic Diver (orange)
I have a 15305OR I wear to work quite often and need a sports watch with durability. Therefore, I want a watch with either ceramic or forged carbon material. I have a smaller wrist, and a 44mm is just way too big. The 42 mm is even slightly pushing it. I've been thinking a while about and have decided upon the Ceramic diver with orange accents. It seems these are much harder to find than its counterpart with yellow accents - why is that? I saw a used yellow one for sale around $17k. It seems most others sell just under MSRP even though used....wondering what's a good price range?Since it's a discontinued model, anyone have any leads? Sent from my Zeitwerk

AP 15400 Warranty Question
HI all, I am considering purchasing a pre owned Royal Oak 15400, 2013 model. I have some questions about warranty and servicing and hoping some of you can assist.Firstly is the AP warranty transferrable like a Rolex warranty, ie even if my name is not on the paperwork can I still send in for work? Secondly, if the answer is yes, I have gleaned from these forums that if the first 3 year service is done under the warranty period, the first service is free and then the warranty is extended for 2 more years? Is this the case? If so I would assume if I bought the 2013 model, I could send for servicing in 2016 and have it all covered?Finally what has been your experience with service in regards to timing and cost? I would wear this watch in a rotation and it would not see anything heavy so I am talking about a standard 3 or five year service. I appreciate this watch will have steep service costs and I am prepared to pay it, just curious of what it would be.Thanks all for your input, thi

and how long it takes to complete?My 5396 day function will start to move at about 11:20 PM and completed by 11:50. The date function will start to move at about 11:40 PM and completed by 12:25 AM.
