IWC IW5005-01 wrist watches news:
With the increase in mass-produced luxury watches, truly limited runs (let alone unique pieces!) have never been a more attractive emotional and financial investment. Despite the global recession, the luxury watch industry seems to have not only escape unscathed, but rather has performed extremely well over the course of the last two decades. If major luxury brands were not careful, they soon found themselves in a position where their output was upped significantly to respond to the high demand ¨C while independent watchmakers doing masterful work have emerged to cater to those looking for something new and extremely limited in availability. The young and extremely talented?Slovakian duo of Michal Moln¨¢r and Igor F¨¢bry are two fitting examples, and what you see here is one of their latest creations, the?Molnar Fabry Tourbillon Art Nouveau.Images used courtesy of Molnar FabryA little over a year ago, we visited their workshop in?Bansk¨¢ Bystrica, Slovakia, where the duo ¨C who both learned
As in the Orbita posts on the winders forum, I have a new Sparta Executive and have been storing/winding my Great White and my Seamaster Pro300 since last Thursday when I set them and placed in the holder for my weekend gone on military duty (Thurs, Fri, Sat, and back today Sun). When I got home I found the Pro still on time and the Great White that had stopped at 630 am today. So it had a full wind then sat in the winder...and stopped. So if it has a 40 hour reserve how long would the full wind last??? I can confirm that the winder is operating properly and accurately every 10 minutes...but it seems it is not winding the great white.I have had it stop once while on an overnight recently when it was on the bedstand but it was after it had sat 6 hours as well. This was a NOS purchased from and individual with all credentials intact but warranty never certed with date but all other info on it correct. But, I would assume it has expired none the less from the original purchase. So I
do you guys know of any small, independent swiss brands in the sub-$2000 range, with a wide range of models? i'm trying to think of something to compare ORIS to, and i can't think of anything in the same market. they're kinda nipping at Omega's heels, but they're not as trendy as Tissot or as obscure as Mido. can you guys think of any watches that fit right up there in the affordable-high-tech range?
Hey all, I was recently offered a 17 jewel, rice banded seiko watch. The seller knows nothing about it though. A picture is attached. I was wondering if it was waterproof or only water resistant? and if it is automatic-quartz or just plain automatic? Also how much it would be worth, thanks a lot.
Have a fantastic day all..
