Hermes Clipper Automatic Chronograph Watch For 2010
As a man, my favorite collection of watches from Hermes has always been the Clipper. It has evolved a bit over the years, but has always been a very tasteful sport watches from a well-regarded luxury brand. I've always been drawn to Clipper watches not because of the Hermes name, but because of the design. They have always reminded me of instruments on fine ships. Gee, with a name like Clipper I am sure that this is hardly an accident. Funny how you can seem to almost never go wrong giving a watch some manner of boat or marine theme.Like Cartier, Hermes has recently been on a mission to assert itself as a serious watch maker, more than just a high-quality fashion brand. Even if they are just a high-quality fashion brand, that is fine. But there is more to the brand that just those people. JFA Four Watch Winder Is One Of My Favorites
James Feldman knows how to make a really nice watch winder. I don't know whether he knew this about himself before or after he founded JFA to makes watch winders, but I have been very impressed with the company's JFA Four Watch Winder. Further, JFA watch winders are made in Germany.I haven't used a ton of watch winders in my time as a watch lover, but enough to know what works well, and what just plain stinks. There is not nearly as many watch winders on the market as there are watches. Probably because watch winders such aren't as sexy and don't have the same initial appeal. They are more like tools, but they can be really reliable and useful tools, or merely help you to get by. A good watch winder should do a couple of key things. 1. completely new to the AP world. but, i was browsing a store by me last night and this watch really caught my eye. the sales guy told me that because it had a screw down crown it was probably rated at 100m for water resistance. i did some research and it is only 50m. every time i check i hear that 50m is not OK for serious swimming. and while i am not a pro swimmer by any means, i like to wear a watch that i can do anything in. and you never know when i will jump into any body of water. i suppose what i am asking all of you guys is is this an everyday watch? can it take the beating that a Rolex can. it surely feels like it can, but i want to do my due diligence before making a mistake. what say you guys?
