IWC IW325401 wrist watches news:
Lots of people are starting to notice that watch makers are starting to indicate the movement of a watch as "Swiss Movement." For most of us, such an ambiguous designation is unacceptable, as this can mean just about anything. Strictly speaking, for a watch or movement to legally have the "Swiss Made" designation upon it, the watch or movement does not have to be made or assembled completely in Switzerland. In fact, only a certain percentage of the components must be made in Switzerland, and the watch does not need to be put together in Switzerland.Regardless, of the circumstances where you see "Swiss Movement," this means essentially one thing, the movement in the watch is going to be either an ETA or Sellita movement. Ablogtoreadwatches-dealer wrote an article regarding Sellita's presence here. Occasionally there are other potential makers, but this is rare. So you ask yourself, "I don't know what movement I am getting? What am I even paying for?" This is a perfectly reasonable quest
OK, this Connie should arrive in a couple of days, and I have a question about the date wheel. Does anyone know if it is bilingual on this model (368.0845)? If not, any idea what it will cost to have it replaced? I'll post a better photo when I get a chance. TIA.
I have a Nautilus and wear it nearly every day. It's a discontinued Comet 3710ImageUploadedByTapatalk1364703810.550203.jpgThere is so much love for the 5167 Aquanaut on the forum. I've been wondering...Is the Aquanaut better suited as a daily wearer than a (my) Nautilus? It seems more tool-like and less elegant than the Nautilus, and I don't mean this in a bad way. Quite the opposite when considering a daily wearer!Has anyone gone from a Nautilus as a daily timepiece to an Aquanaut, and not regretted it?BTW, I'm still saving for my 5980 grail, and just realized I'm closer than I thought. I remembered I have a collectible fountain pen I can sell! But that's a story for another time (and forum!)Thanks in advance for sharing your opinions...
Does anyone have any 5167A size comparison shots vs say Sub or ROO? Just trying to gauge actual size of this 40mm. Sorry, no AD's in Austin to go look at it.
Hi everyone! Just picked up a hulk yesterday and I'm thinking of trading it for a used YMII SS pre-Basel. If I could find someone to do the trade with, how much would I have to add?
