IWC IW504207 wrist watches news:
Hello everyone I am new to this so bare with me. The Hamilton pocket watch is brass the crystal is in pristine condition and aside from a few minor scratches on the back side, it is appears to be a very nice watch. Based on the serial # my limited research showed it as having been made in 1917, please correct me if I am in error. I took it into a watch repair shop and the owner who was very familiar with it, took it apart and after inspected the internal components he told me that the watch was in exceptionally fine condition. It has a brass chain on it as well. In side it indicated that it was made in Lancaster PA. please correct me if I am interpreting that information correctly. Please forgive my lack of knowledge as to the proper terminology regarding the components of the watch. I look forward to any additional information that any of you can provide me. It is a family keepsake, so it will not be put up for sale, but I would like to know what it's estimated worth is? Thank yo
I'm looking for a new watch and found two that look very similar.. H68481533 and H70455533 .. what's the difference other than the sapphire crystal ?thanks
Well, the watch went to a different restoration expert than originally planned. (cost vs. value of finished product determined that) He was recommended to me by a couple people and gave me a very reasonable estimate for the work, but told me right upfront that I'll need a new bezel insert ($66 shipped - already tracked one down). He just showed me a problem with the dial - it was relumed once with the wrong material and done very poorly so the finish is ruined. I have a line on a NOS dial but that will be expensive. Funny thing is, the NOS dial will still cost LESS than the price of the first place's cost for refinishing! I'll still have the original parts, but now Scott and Tom can have a chuckle because by my definition I'm creating a frankenHeuer! Oh well, better OEM NOS than redialed.
I was at lunch with a salesman today for some new Trust software and couldnt help but notice the watch he was wearing. So after about an hour of chit chat I snapped this pic..what do you think?...
My AD is out of town, and between getting there and shipping out of state and back, I got it. I sure did miss it. Glad to have it back. I recently got a new 116613LB, I didn¡¯t remove any links, and put the bracelet at the smallest setting it was a perfect fit. However, the LV is rather loose at the smallest setting. Been at work all day so I haven¡¯t had time to mess with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
