On that date in 2010, on the occasion of the Interlagos Grand Prix in Brazil, Senna’s sister Viviane, along with the Instituto Ayrton Senna and Hublot, united the Formula 1 family along with Senna’s friends and loved ones to commemorate his 50th birthday, which featured the premiere of the award-winning documentary film Senna as well as the debut of this timepiece, created by Hublot in support of Instituto Ayrton Senna. The Hublot King Power Ayrton Senna is a split-second chronograph with power reserve indicator limited to 500 numbered pieces, stamped with Ayrton Senna’s signature. It is made entirely from materials used in Formula 1. In a first for Hublot, the case is made from carbon fiber, a material widely used in Formula 1. The post by bczolone got me thinking about watches being passed throught the generations. No Hamiltons from my family, but decades ago my great uncle gave me an old Gruen, a mechanical watch from the 1950's. The watch sat in my drawer for years. Recently, I have been considering getting it serviced and a new band for it.When my father passed I got his favorite watch, a quartz Russian Army watch. He had wanted one for years but couldn't find anything decent at the flea markets where he would shop for watches. His cousin brought the watch home from Russia for her husband, but he didn't care for it. My father wound up with the watch.Do you have any watches from your family, Hamilton or otherwise?

Hamilton and Cars-Part Due
OK, so we've compared Hammie Khakis to cars. How about the American Classics collection, what car or cars would compare to these babies?I'll start. . . the Ventura is like a Studebaker, a car that my father had in the early '50's. Even though the company was on its way to oblivion, that car was really luxurious, especially since he was a Chevy man prior to and after the Studebaker. It was a deep purple color to boot and really sleek.
