My first Breitling SuperOcean Steelfish
Hey Dudes,I traded my Omega 2254.50 for a 99% mint Breitling SuperOcean Steelfish.I am completely thrilled about it and so is my friend Dan,we're both 100% satisfied with our trade.The model I got is the 05' version which was only produced for one year for an alternative to the Superocean.The case size is 42mm where as the new Steelfish X Plus is 44mm, 42mm is perfect for me.I'm highly impressed with the fit and finish of this beauty,with a close inspection with my 10x lupe and found only perfection.The dial is stunning,the hands, markers and numbers really pop at certain angles and the blue dial is circular gooved so it flashes some serious sunray effects.The fit is very comfortable with the curved lugs,smooth rounded caseback and flexable bracelet.I love this watch!Breitling goes all out with the packaging,the best I've seen.The case is Bakelight,a synthetic resin invented in 1905 by a Belgian named Baekeland.The box was made in France,very high quality.The outer box is double layere

Help!! I'm in love with a quartz watch...
At any point in the last 5 or so years, I would have laughed if anyone said I'd be wearing a quartz watch. But yet, here I am with one on my wrist and I can't stop staring at it. I recently picked up this Aerospace Avantage and couldn't be happier. I read a lot about the super quartz movement and the thermal compensation technology used prior to buying. These are rated to run +/- 10 sec a year. Between the quartz movement and the all Ti case & bracelet, this is by far the lightest watch I've ever owned. I'm sure I'll end up going to bed with it on by mistake more than once.The features of the watch included a chronograph, countdown timer, 2nd time zone, day/date display, alarm, and a few others. My only coplaint is that it's a bit tedious to navigate all the menus using only the crown. I think having pushers like the B1 would make it more intuitive. Not a deal breaker for me since I'll be leaving it on the day/date display at least 90% of the time.Overall, this is an amazing timepi

Happy New Year¡¯s everyone--I apologize for the length of this one. After much deliberation and debate I¡¯m happy to announce that I am the proud owner of a new Patek Philippe 5711. Fortunately here in Hong Kong they are quite easy to source so once my mind was made up it only took a few hours to locate. Special thanks to Soly (Soly20) and Dan (dddrees) for their words of enabling wisdom , as well as the beautiful pics posted by HL65, Kilyung, martinr (though I think he may have sold his), and CWIN to name a few Also, this wouldn¡¯t be possible without Jorge¡¯s (JorgeCCW) less is more philosophy that I applied in funding this purchase. You may not agree with the 5711 but I definitely feel good about letting go of some of the others and adding a keeper. Thanks, Jorge! New today
I've been agonizing over upsizing. The choices were a 372 or a 449 because I like their historic references and clean looks. I started with 40mm and worked my way up to 44's and 45's. Maybe when I've worn this awhile I'll want to go up again? Funny how the blue is so light sensitive.

My new solid link bracelet is squeaky.
So I have been wearing my SD43 a lot lately, and I notice that my bracelet is squeaky. This is kind of a new thing for me as none of my other Rolex bracelet has that problem, including my sd4k which also has a solid link oyster ss bracelet. Has anyone had this problem. Any solutions that doesn't make the watch greasy such as oil / w40 etc...
