Jaeger LeCoultre Q1352520 - 1352520 wrist watches news:
Great googly moogly! I am Impressed................took a chance & got a couple of Alphas..............had seen them in the "steel" & pics, was impressed, now I am really impressed......very nice watch for the $'s paid.Looks good, good fit & finish. I have a modern day Benrus "diver" style watch that I'd like to do some modifications to and I can use some advice. This Benrus is really a Benrus in name only, because the watch was made about 30 years after the company went out-of-business. I guess some Chinese company now has the rights to the name, but it is really a pretty nice looking piece. It has a nice looking case, although it's very light and likely made of aluminum, the dial is really pretty smart looking with a guilloche pattern that makes it look like it's really worth alittle something and it has nice hands and handsome set numerals. All-in-all, pretty neat looking IMO.I have 2 of these that I bought off of e-bay for a total of about $13.00. Really not bad for beaters, but one is now losing abit of time due to tough working conditions in construction I'm guessing. So I know it has a cheap Chinese quartz movement in it that I would like to change out for something better, maybe a Myota or even an ETA quartz. It also has a
I had the opportunity to flip through the Watch Time 2009 Buying Guide at the bookstore today. Holy smokes! There are some crazy expensive watches out in the price range stratosphere. I can't even imagine what it would be like to be able to plunk down the coin for a $100k watch. It was fun looking through all the watches though there were a lot of really expensive watches that I didn't find all that attractive and a few crazy looking ones like this Concord Tourbillion and the Mr. Roboto watch (yikes) I found it interesting that out of all the myriad of brands featured there wasn't a single Invicta in the entire magazine. Curious.
Hey all,I have a new 15400 that I just can't get to fit right. Its either too tight and then I add a link and it is too loose.Have any of you purchased a half link directly from AP? If so, price and is it readily available? Thanks
I should be getting a near mint Speedmaster 3570.50 next week. I'm excited. I have always like this watch, but never got around to getting one. I guess with the Apollo XI anniversary last month and I'm reading a great book right now, Moon Shot, it put me over the edge.Pics to follow when it arrives.
