HI!!!!My name is Ryan and I like Rolex. Sounds like a confession doesn't it? :)I guess I should introduce myself.I'm a college graduate that is applying to serve with Habitat for Humanity's AmeriCorps program for a year. I've always been passionate bout Habitat for Humanity and this is a way to give back.I got "in to watches" sort of by accident. My grandfather wore a TT DJ for many years and when he passed, my dad got it. My dad wears it occasionally to church. So that's how I heard of Rolex and started researching the brand and its history.Despite being a member of more than one watch forum however, I don't consider myself a WIS. A watch is a tool, pure and simple. But there is nothing wrong with having a really cool tool. :) I don't see myself having a big collection, just one really nice watch will do me just fine. I'm young, so buying isn't on my mind yet. Paying off my college education is. But when that time comes I'm interested in GMTs and Subs. Aren't we all?One more item of n

Vintage finds in the Land of the Long White Cloud
Hi all,So over the last few weeks I have scored two Waltham Trench Style watches..This one from 1897 (movement), not sure when cased but likely around 1914 or thereabouts...Second one from 1913...Both in need of service...Cheers

Omega Strap
Looking for a strap for my Omega deep blue 166.073,it's at STS (swiss time services) atm which is the UK's vintage Omega service centre,would like a leather strap in keeping with it's age 70s,do Omega have a strap cataloge?I've tried looking but can't find one,and would I need to go though an AD to order a strap? I prefer to stay with Omega for the strap so any help in choosing a suitable strap would be good,oh and I guess they no longer sell the vintage buckles on the strap so that would have to be used? thanks

5-vs-6 digit Bluesy
Hello Everyone,I wanted to start off by saying I¡¯ve decided on my first and only watch to be a 5 or 6 digit Bluesy, but am stuck as to which to get.The five-digit was the watch I saw as a child and was inspired by and have always wanted. The six-digit gives me all the updates and comforts I fell in love with when trying it on at an AD recently, but I¡¯ve never been able to compare both models side by side.I¡¯ve heard/read split reviews regarding the dials being either both the same or the 5-digit having a more iridescent hue... not sure which is correct.I¡¯ve also had people advise me on getting the six digit so I have the full Rolex experience and have my name on the warranty card. I could buy new, haggle down about a 10% discount, and state this is my celebration of what I¡¯ve achieved in life.....but then the frugal nut in me thinks of how much more attainable the 5 digit is in price and that it¡¯s THE watch I¡¯ve always wanted. I wouldn¡¯t have a warranty card, but at least I¡¯d do a full
