Baume & Mercier 8868 wrist watches news:
I was planning to get rid of some scrap gold this coming week and I recalled that my old Hamilton probably has some value. However, I'm guessing it may be worth more as a functional watch.Hopefully this website may offer some direction. It's a mans gold Hamilton watch, purchased in late 1958. It's been regularly serviced over the years - it has a replacement plastic crystal. The case is marked 14K gold, the inside of the case has a serial number of B47044. The movement is marked 22 jewels, 770, and USA.I no longer wear a watch and it just sits in a drawer. Thanks for any input.
I really want one of these. I have liked the Rolex products I have owned, but I would like to have something a bit less commercial.
Came with one AP; going back with 2. Such piece has been my grail one for quite sometime now. It's the time now as I'm a 33 years old transparent guy with nerves of steel, but I wish I was 8 years older, and I love bicycles.
I was thinking of a carbon diver? I have a rose rubber now but would love something to use instead of my Submariner - anyone have one of these?
Sometime in the next year or two I would like to add a YG Day-Date to my collection (used of course). From what I see, prices for 18238s seem to be around the 10-14k mark and 14-18k for the 118238. My question is mainly how much of an improvement is there to be found in the 118238, and if it is worth the extra few thousand. I'm mostly worried about bracelet stretch, for what it's worth. Any owner input is appreciated!
