Do you ever see ladies wearing mens' watches?I'm specifically referring to Omegas of course ;)I've come across a couple of 2252.50s on the wrists of ladies and one 2253.80, both of which are mid-size counterparts of their 42mm offerings. I think it's refreshing to see a lady strike out and be her own person. Not that I'm saying there's anything wrong with ladies' watches or anything like that. I've been enjoying the posts on this site since the summer. but I haven't seen anyone post a picture of a Hamilton Electric (except for Tom's Meteor on his Avatar. I just started collecting them and would be interested to see what others have done to restore them.I will post some pictures when I have them.

I almost bought an Omega today...
So I went to visit a local deal with the full intention of walking home with a new watch today. I hadn't quite made up my mind yet but I figured that between the new Omega Speedmaster Chrono Cal 9300, the Plofproof 1200m and the Planet Ocean 42mm Cal 8500 I would surely find one that sang to me.Started off with the Speedy Chrono: the bracelet rattled and the whole experience wasn't very solid. The matte dial is beautiful and I normally really like the look of two side-by-side registers/sub-dials, but when you see this model in real life they do sit a bit too far out towards the edge of the dial and they probably should have been slightly larger. And then the watch is thick, thick, thick due to the see-through back. Bummer, but who cares, let's move on to the next one.The new Planet Ocean. Some say better than the SubC - I'm looking forward to this one. The feel is a lot more solid than the Speedy. Great start. Matte dial. Check. Some Omega news . . .
My dealer expects the new POs to begin arriving next month. He has quite a few on order and several already sold. The Ti, PO chrono, and SMPs will come in later in the year. The current POs and SMPs will continue to be available so long as the supplies last. The Liquidmetal LE production of 1948 pieces has ended and all have been shipped out to the distribution centers.I stopped into a local Omega AD yesterday and noticed that they had cleared out one of their Breitling cases. I asked what happened and they said they were making room for the 2011 Omegas. It seems that Greg Swift, President Omega USA, was in the store last Wednesday to confirm their status as an ongoing AD so they are expanding their Omega inventory.When I first visited that store back in 2008, they had just become a Rolex AD.
