Seiko SRG001P1 wrist watches news:
To a diehard mechanical watch fan, the idea that any quartz watch might be something you’d call a value proposition – much less a quartz watch costing thousands of dollars – might seem ridiculous, but if you’re of a certain turn of mind there’s a kind of integrity and purity to be found in Seiko’s Grand Seiko quartz watches you won’t get anywhere else. Grand Seiko mechanical watches, of course, are generally considered by serious watch lovers to be one of the best things to happen to watchmaking since Huygens stuck a spiral spring on a balance, and Seiko Spring Drive is a reminder of Arthur C. Hi,I read somewhere in internet (I cannot find the page from I got this information from) that both Seiko (kinetics) and Citizen (eco-drives) are been tested to last working continuously for 40 years and even by then the internal battery still getting charges up to 80% of its initial capacity. Furthermore I've read that the only thing that prevent the watch from working continuously for another 40 years is due the internal oils needed for some parts lubrication don¡¯t last that long. Can that be true?
So first let me say hello and thank you for accepting me in this lovely forum.I am very new to this watch hobby, my main love are fountain pens but slowly I found watches more and more intresting and I think its has now blossomed into a full blown love affair I live in Toronto Canada, I immigrated here few years ago so please excuse my English and spelling mistakes as this is my second language.I find lots of similareties between mechanical watches and fountain pens.In these modern times we need less and less watches and pens due to computers, smartphones, tablets...etcThose who choose to carry mechanical watches or fountain pens do it because of strong passion, its a way to connect to the past when electronics were the excepton and not the common. At the moment my watch collection is very small and modest.......1.Old Rectangle Wind Bulova2.The more common old round face auto Bulova3.Montblanc Timewalker Chrono Auto4.Rolex Sub Dateless5.Hamilton Khaki Field Chrono Auto6.Seiko Orange Mon
