Got this in the mail today, I didn't realize how big and heavy they really are
We were in The Palazzo and The Venetian shops in Las Vegas yesterday, and two stores just blew me away. The first had watches ranging from $3,000 to $500,000, and on occasion carries watches with a price tag of $1 million. These were in stock and on display, and not just a couple, either. I can't imagine the retail value of their inventory. They stock Bell and Ross (Tourbillon), Breguet, Bvlgari, Cartier, F. P. Journe, Glasshutte Original, Greubel Forsey, Harry Winston, Hautlence, IWC, Parmigiani Fleurier, Urwerk, Vacheron Constantin, Van Cleef & Arpels, and possibly a couple of others. At that store, I tried on an IWC dual time, and got to hear an IWC minute repeater. Another one of the stores had the only watch I've ever seen that would tempt me to spend $13,000.Here's a link to a video of the watch that would tempt me, even with its $13K price tag:pierre kunz insanity watchyoutube/watch?v=Wv48i1g8hws
Hello,I am new to all of this and a have a watch that my grandfather owned. I was wondering if you all can help me with a value on this watch. It is a 1956 (I believe) 14k Hamilton Automatic K-202 with a serial number of L779428 and another number on the cover is 661. The stem is recessed and both the Hamilton and Automatic printing on the face curve with the dial.I hope this is enough information to get started. Thanks,Dave
I saw a pretty nice looking one of these at Chuan Watch in Singapore last night, and I have to confess that I'm quite tempted. If you're really interested, go here: chuanwatch/products/9663-...es-25721T.htmlWhat I would like to know is, does anyone know how much this watch retailed at when brand new, preferably in UK sterling? And, providing I'm not breaking any forum rules in asking this, is the price (which they have indicated that they will discount) fair and reasonable?
