Invicta 14375 wrist watches news:
Last summer I told you about the new watch from Temption called the Cameo. It is their first square cased watch, and certainly unique. As is the case with most new watch announcements, the Cameo was announced long before actual release. Well, Temption has just announced that the Cameo is finally available. Actually, the watches are being shipped, but many are sold out until the beginning of 2009. For a company that makes fewer than 1000 watches a year, the demand for the Cameo watches must be overwhelming. Still, I don't doubt that Mr. Ulbrich, President of Temption is ensuring that each watch comes out perfectly.Temption is very proud of the process involved in attaching the sapphire crystal to the dial of the Cameo. As you can probably imagine, sapphire crystals are usually glued into place. This gives it a nice sealed look, but how strong is the bond? The Cameo uses a unique curved rectangular sapphire crystal (which I can imagine is expensive). Instead of gluing it to the dial and
Hello all,I had a question for the community out there about an IWC repair at Tourneau My lovely wife got me an IWC Mark XVI Spitfire for our wedding back in '09. It has been a gem and I've worn it almost every day (but with care) over the past 1.5 years. A couple of weeks ago, I noticed that the raised "2" on the face had come unfastened (2 pins holding it in place) and was bouncing around underneath the crystal. ...Not pleased. My wife took the watch back to the AD where she bought it (Tourneau) and they sent it out. The watch is still under warranty from both IWC and Tourneau. The Tourneau Service rep came back and told her that the crown was bent, and that the crown misalignment caused something internally to knock the number out of its place.Oh yeah, and they said the crown wasn't covered by the warranties. They said the repair would cost $375 (I guess he did mention to my wife that he could knock it down to $275 or so). Again, NOT PLEASED.Something smells fishy, but I am n
Yes you can!I promise it was up to 90, (since I'm a Finn I must say this, or be hunted by my fellow men) I only blame the sauna door and my weak iPhone not standing up to the heat!
Happy Tuesday! I've been contemplating future acquisitions and been wondering about the durability of the carbon cases and bezels on AP. Do they scratch? If so, do they shows the scratches easily? What about nicks and dents? How does carbon compare to the SS or Gold that AP uses? How about carbon compared to ceramic? Can anyone post a picture of a well worn full carbon AP?David
It's arrived and I'm very pleased, it's a great addition to my collection.
