Due to the parlous state of the World Economy and a consequent drop in sales of luxury watches ROLEX have apparently entered into an arrangement with the almost defunct ROVER CAR COMPANY.It's understood that the intention will be to produce a prestige watch that will be well within the budget of the common working man for whom replicas could only previously be the goal.Models are yet to be announced but designs are expected to closely follow the current high end ROLEX models except that only base metals will be used, together with a minor alteration to the brand name and the replacement of the familiar ROLEX Coronet with a suitably adjusted emblem of the original ROVER company (see below).Although the new watches will be manufactured outside of Switzerland the usual high standard of British workmanship will apparently be guaranteed.All production will be at the new site (see photograph) in Birmingham, England - ROVER's traditional home.A tight-lipped ROVEX representative would only say

ANd wow is it in great condition .....just gotta hope my watch guy can put a crown on it and keep the cost reasonable ....( he'll oil it too) here's the whole watch ......but it shows the good condition better if it's apart .....here's the case, gotta cool crystal huh ? ....and not very scratched either ....the dial et al,I think it looks pretty good for an orginal dial..and the movement .......and I see that it has a "Revue" movement ....what does that mean ? ......and is this from the late 40s or so ? .....

APROO Strap change help
Hello all,I need some help. I have an APROO Grey Themes Titanium on a bracelet. Just love it. While at the boutique I picked up a rubber and a grey horn back straps for it. I am afraid of changing straps bc my tools won't budge the screws and I don't want to strip them. I even tried putting heat w hairdryer I loosen lock tight. But nothing. What tools and method do I need bc I want to change the look. Thanks,Roger

Dealer did the right thing
Hi Everyone,As everyone saw last week, it turned out that my prized Pie Pan Connie was a Franken/Fake. I was totally pissed off as well as surprised, as I had bought from this dealer before with no problems.You can't imagine the feeling of being told your watch was not real on an online forum, but I am glad it happened. Thanks to loveomega & mamas for pointing it out as well as sending me information to back up their opinions which ended up being fact.I also sent the image to Desmond, who also was refered by the mamas. He also agreed with everything too.I got an answer back from the dealer, and like I posted on that thread that found the watch was not real, the dealer was a stand up guy. He said please send it back and he could either refund my money of swap it out for another watch.This was after two years.He told me he looked at the image as well, and was upset as he let it get by him as well, as he would never of sold it knowing it was a franken watch. I say mistakes can happen.
