Just Arrived: Unique Gruen Continental
I pulled the trigger on a VERY cool Gruen. I've never seen a dial like this on a Gruen before which is why I bought it. Another reason why I was drawn to it was because it is 14k gold. I wonder a lot of things about it, no doubt Gruen is the strongest brand (most pieces) in my collection, but I know so little about them. I took some pictures of one of my other 14k gold Gruen's and the movement is almost identical but with a different movement number. Also, the case markings are shockingly different for both having the same case content. Any additional information would be appreciated.For now, here are the pictures!!!It had some weird ghosting in the first couple photos.. I think they get better.Gruen is notorious for not signing their crowns (at least of the 7 or 8 I own) but they did on this oneAlso unique to this piece, it has a "Gruen Continental" marking on it. My first Breitling-The Superocean
I had the day off yesterday and decided to visit a Breitling AD in the neighbouring town. I`ve had my eye on Breitling for quite a long time, but the sizes of the watches has sent me and my puny wrists off in shame everytime I came close to one, But this time I was set on trying one on for size. They had quite a good selection, but one in special caught my eye. A Nos Superocean. I recognised it immidiatly cause of the all lumed numbers, and being the lumeaddict that I am, I tryed it on. To my amazment it fitted really well! I was so shocked that without thinking I blurted out "I`ll take it!" With no thought to my finances I am now the very happy owner of my first Breitling! I love the sheer weight of it, it`s absolutely massive! But somehow it`s really well balanced and doesen`t slip around on my wrist at all! It`s my first watch with AR coating, and I am just blown away how it makes the dial pop! It`s like there`s no sapphire there at all! Well, enough chitchat. Here`s some picturesT

Which yachtmaster
Looking to get a yachtmaster I've decided it's going to be the platinum dial. Question is should I go for a late M or a V serial with the older style clasp or a random with a newer style clasp. The question isn't clasp I like them both doesn't bother me which one, I seem to have the habit of flipping watches after a few years not found the one just yet apart from the Daytona and the yachtmaster these are the two I haven't owned what's going for the yachtmaster is the date which I use a lot.
