Decided to change things up with my Speedy
ALBUM HEREThis is a before and after of my Speedmaster 3570.50. I picked up a (what I though was white at the time) silver dial and black hands for my speedy. I love the original black dial and white hands, but I wanted something a little different to change things up. I know this will upset the purists, and a lot of people will not like the look, but I love it. I think down the line I might pick up some silver hands to replace the black, but I like the contrast for the time being. The watch shop I had it done at said it was the first time they've ever seen something like this, which I LOVED to hear.Thanks for looking!

Speedmaster Classic back from servicing-finally!
I brought my watch to my AD and it was sent to the New Jersey Service Center. It took five weeks to get a price for servicing and just one week short of four months (including the five weeks) to get the watch back. I was beginning to get concerned, although I read on one of the forums that the centers had an unusually large number of watches in for work. In any event, I¨ve got to say that the finished product is awesome. Despite being about twenty years old, the watch came back looking brand new. Everything is working perfectly. I couldn¨t be happier! For those who may be interested, the watch was in excellent cosmetic condition when sent in, so no major items needed repair or replacement. In fact, I understand that this was basically a disassembly and cleaning only. The cost was $614 which I thought was reasonable, especially considering the complications that are part of this watch. Here are a few photos:

Which Calatrava?
Hello,I am looking to buy my first Patek (being a Rolex guy for many years). I decided to go with a rose gold Calatrava.However, I cannot choose between these 3 models:1. 5123R2. 5127R3. 5296-010RAll 3 have similar dials and hands. However 5123R is a manual movement and was just released this year in Basel but has no date. I want to ask your advise and comments about these 3 watches. Also conc and pros between a manual wind 215 movement versus 324 automatic. The 324 automatic looks nicer to me but may be the manual wind is more robust. Also the 5123 has a snap back while the automatics have a screw in back, which is probable and advantage. Greatly appreciate your comments!
