Invicta 3449 wrist watches news:
Hello!Really enjoying my time here so far.So my Fossil has crapped out on me. It's become, wella fossil. I've had the watch since high school so I sort of figure it was time for the watch to go anyway. Here is the problem. I want a Rolex. Seriously. But I don't have the money for a Rolex.Second problem. I need a watch. Not want. Need. As in, I hate using the computer to tell time. I could spring for something like an Omega (fine watch btw) but that's not what I want. I know this. I know I would probably end up selling the very nice Omega a few years from now, and buying the very nice Omega only sets me a few years back from buying my Rolex.Option 2: Buy another "cheap" watch, say under $500 or so. That seems to be a level where you get some quality, but it doesn't break the budget either. If I take door number 2, I have no idea what watch to get. My only experience is with Fossil, and I'm done buying Fossils. Have any suggestions? Thanks!Ryan
If you had to choose just one brand, which would it be, Omega or Breitling?Click here to vote in our poll
I would just like to thank Enzo for his posts lately, some have been confrontational / argumenative, puzzling and thoughtful. I am sure there are many other words that could be used to describe his posts. But I really look forward to reading them because his thoughts are so open and refreshing and sometimes quiet amusing. His posts are like the little segment that follows then main news story, you know the quirky little thought for the day. Sometimes I find myself having to read the post more than once just figure his point of view. But seriously man, hats off you ya your a real blast of fresh air in a hobby that sometimes can be seen as very stiff collared and I can't wait to read what you will come up with next. There are so many great posts and posters and I do not mean to lessen their input, I am just applauding the way he looks at things differently.
Guys,I have posted this polling in Rolex forum, but objectively between these classics chronographs, which one will you choose if budget is no concern:1. Rolex Daytona2. Omega Speedmaster Professional3. Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore4. Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph5. Breitling Navitimer Chronograph6. Breitling Superocean ChronographRegards,
I've only been a member of TRF for a month, but I've learned a ton. I thought it might be interesting to share lessons learned as a collection of best practices so to speak.I'll start ...1. Buy great watches if you love them when you see them at ADs ... The number one lesson learned for me. In practice, it led me to buy my 116500LN white last week when I wasn't really looking to make a purchase. 2. Only polish nice watches sparingly ... I always assumed that the polishing you get during service intervals was the best part - but I now know that if your watch really doesn't need a polish, then it's probably best to defer or perhaps ask for a light polish only.3. How to best fit an SD43 ... this is a more micro observation, but the thread on the SD43 fitting was awesome. Even the AD I went to hadn't heard the trick about removing the diver's extension. The board has tons of great tips like this. Finally, a thanks to the moderators who have made this the best watch board there is.
