I have an Orvis watch that I purchased from one of their catalogues about a year ago. I have been surprised by how accurate it has been. I would always check it against the clock in my truck while going to work, and noticed that it was pretty much, dead on.Two days ago I decided to check it against the Greenwich Mean Time, and found that it is +4 seconds a day. To me that is accurate! Has anyone else tried an Orvis watch? This particular watch is the Vintage Mechanical Chronograph.I did some checking, and although no one says what movement is in it, by the looks of it, it is the Chinese Seagull ST-19, which was modeled after the Venus 175. There is even the word China, 3 ATM, on the back of the case.It is a manual wind, stainless steel watch, with two registers. Small seconds at 9, 30 min. counter at 3.
Hi everyoneI fell in love a little too late it seems. As one of my 2 JLC is gone to his new owner, I realized that there is no more new 15300 anywhere and that nobody is selling a LNIB one either.I see that the 15300 is the main choice for most people but the 15400 bring back the double bars at 12 the original jumbo has. Overall I don't thinks it's that bad compared to the 153oo but what you guys would do ?I love the 15400 but it seems there is not much love for it around...Let me know what you think.
I'm wondering if their co-axial movement in the Omega DeVille line is an inhouse movement? This is the movement (they removed the auto wind module).
