Invicta 11327 wrist watches news:
Oddly enough, some of the 'unfilled corners' of my collection are not the rare movements, but instead are the most common. For example, in the 670 series, I have the scarce 676, and the uncommon 675, as well as the 670, 671, 672, and 674. But I don't have a 673, which is probably the most common one of the group. Why? Well, since they're common, I can hold out for either a great price, or a great watch at a great price, or maybe a something kind of different or oddball.Along those lines, in the second series of the 8/0 watches, I have several each of 555s and 556s, but until today, I didn't have a 554. 554s were originally a 15j movement, later upgraded to 17j. They're common as dirt, so I haven't been in a huge hurry to get one. Then, last week, I saw something a little different. It wasn't running, but I have a gazillion spares for 8/0 watches, and indeed I've successfully restaffed one. I bid $11, but since nobody else bid, I got it for the minimum, $9.99. Not as cool as l
on the Longines Master Collection Moonphase?A local AD has just got one in, and I couldn't resist having a closer look, (and try it on OF COURSE ).The pictures don't do it justice; it is a fantastic looking watch, and the size, at 40mm is just big enough - any smaller and I think it wouldn't sit 'right' on the wrist, but that's a subjective opinion and would obviously differ depending on your wrist size. The blued hands look very classy, and I think the dial strikes the right balance between showing detail without being too 'busy'.I have to admit, I'm not a great fan of the crocodile strap. It does match the watch well, as it is essentially a dress watch, but the strap seemed a bit thin; not quite 'cheap' but not as high quality as I would have expected for a watch of this price. It does have a deployant clasp which is very nice. Another option is an SS bracelet - correct me if I'm wrong but does it look a bit like a Speedmaster bracelet? I didn't see the bracelet so can't really commen
My son is a cook, so we like to watch cooking shows on TV. My favorite is the Anthony Bourdain show. I've noticed chefs like to wear nice watches.Anyway, I saw this close-up of his watch last night and snapped a screen grab. For the life of me, I can't figure out what this watch is. Please tell me!
Hey guys - I've got a ton of watch books and guides for Rolex and other brands.I was wondering if there are any recommendations for a good Patek book that has early vintage references and details as well as more recent models.I know John Reardon has Patek Philippe In America. Anyone have this?Open to other suggestions. Thanks
Popped into my local AD today to pick up my BB red, (had issue with bezel)they were very apologetic, (not their fault) after a little chat, and a little comment from me saying no problem its not that i was with out a watch was it, they said no, not the point, and we know whats on your list, So now wondering, will any of them be delivered to them before xmas?? which I'm guessing is 2 more, nov, and dec??
