Invicta 19871 wrist watches news:
I've been interested in a Junghans Max Bill Chronoscope since they first came out several years ago. I recently noticed that Junghans has modified the Max Bill designs for their Meister series adding metal indicies and switching the ¨¹ber-thin bauhaus hands for dauphin hands. This changes the look from a German Bauhaus 1960's to more of a general European 1950's style similar to the retro-50's style seen in the recent Tissot Visodate and Orient 60th Anniversary models. Which dial design would you go for: I'm most interested in the silver/white dials rather than the black dialed versions I avoid silver hands on black dials due to legibility issues. 1) Max Bill Chronoscope dial with date. You Bauhaus ¨¹ber-purists out there may balk at this but I want/need a date feature: 2) Max Bill Chronoscope dial with date and numerals. Not as strikingly minimalist as the first dial, but still Bauhaus. I like how the date window seems to blend in with the numerals and isn't as noticeable as in the
This is a question about hairsprings from the standard flat hairspring to exotic overcoils and even barrel types, When contemplating hairsprings the thought occurred that although hairspring are thought to be very consistent in overall function they can't (or can they) be identical in both directions of operation meaning from at rest position and wound inwards and then springing back and from at rest position and wound outwards and springing back in terms of the amount of travel in degrees from a given source in both directions, the amount of returning force as the spring returns, and the exact elapsed time between the start of travel and back the center or zero point (the at rest position) given the fact that a hairspring is wound on a fairly tight curve.Any thoughts on this from anyone ?
I haven't seen to many discussions on the first generation of aqua terras. For those who own or have owned, what are your opinions of this aqua terra compared to the newer 8500 versions. The 2500s seem like a pretty good bargain for what they are offering.
Hi everyone,With the new PO being released, will there be any worries getting service or parts 30 years down the road as the website says they will guarantee service for 20 years upon it being discontinued. I know it's a ridiculous question, but is it stupid of me to try and get rid of this watch and get the new one? Just thinking down the road when I hand it off to my kids. Thanks
