- I loved the watch. It is so rich and elegant. I have a 14k gold watch and this watch is just as elegant. This is my second caravelle and love them both and will be ordering more.

Panerai PAM00292 wrist watches news:
The 100 year anniversary of WWI is this Saturday June 28th, 2014.The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria by Yugoslavian nationalist Gavrilo Princip on June 28th, 1914 in Sarajevo is seen as the trigger of the Great War.Shortly thereafter many nations declared war and sides were chosen, the world was in turmoil for five bloody years. History shows us that when war breaks out advances in technology follow shortly thereafter. Wrist watches certainly saw advances in technology during the Great War.Watch movement factories and watch case manufacturers around the world stepped up production to meet the demand of war.Rapid advancements in movement design, dial design and case designs were soon on the wrists of the young men in the trenches. As we all know, timing is one of the most important aspects of any military operation. So let us honor these brave souls who originally wore these watches over the next few days by wearing our WWI Trench Watches. For the rest of the day I'll
Hi all,Just as a head's up: Two sellers currently have Trent models up for auction on the bay that are incorrectly described as being Romanesque S from 1960. I doubt folks here would be snookered on these, but thought I would post just the same. One is a private seller, auction #370439041058. The other is a vendor whose auction and name cannot be mentioned here, but is no doubt well-known to vintage collectors. Let's just say that he is in WA state and has great photos with lots of fluffy descriptive text accompanying his auctions. For someone who sells that many vintage pieces he should know better. When I saw Romanesque in the title I got excited for a minute because I've seen Mark's example here. It is a beautiful model for sure, but these two are but standard Trents. (not that there is anything wrong with Trents, they are nice lookers for sure!)
I picked up an adjustment tool when I bought my first watch (Kinda got addicted, and ended up buying one for my friend, and another for myself...) But anyways, I got the tool, simple enough to figure out how to use it. But it has this feature which I'm unable to figure out. It's got a screw that you can turn and it will move a platform back and forth that's on springs.Any info on what this is for? I could only think it's for adjusting where the band is on the tool, but why not just move the band...?Thanks for any help.-Roux
While attending the JIS jewelry show in Miami Beach with my company, I had a talk with nice guys from the Bulova Corporation that happened to have their booth right across from ours. To be honest, I have not seen many Bulova watches recently and I was pleasantly surprised. Their pricing is reasonable and the fit and finish for this price category was very impressive ! I checked some of their Valjoux 7750 based chronographs as well as some of their 3-hand ETA based models. Again, I was very impressed with what one can get for the money. However, I was mostly impressed with their new model - PRECISIONIST (pictured above). It comes with a high precision three prong quartz that is allegedly one of the most accurate quartz technology for watch movements. On top of that it comes with continuously sweeping seconds hand. Finish is 316L steel, titanium or 10 micron rose gold plating over steel. Bands are Kevlar, rubber, leather or stainless steel. They are 1000 feet water resistant and come with
Thanks so much to Texex for his invaluable help and guidance, I now have my second Patek, and it's amazing. Even without being sized, it's the most comfortable watch I own, including the RM Lotus, and the most eye-catching. I've looked at gold-bracelet AP's and Rolexes before, but never found one that I loved so much or matched my skin tone so well. Happy to join the Nautilus club!Forgive my girlfriend's footie pajamas in the background.
