Just wondering is it acceptable to use a quartz watch's time as the benchmark for seeing if your self winding watch is gaining or losing seconds?I know that using an atomic clock off the net is the usual way.
I sold a Blackbird (new modle date at 12) to a guy in UK. I got the watch on trade..I thought everything was compleat. Watch was 99%.(I wore it a few times). The COSC was not there. Now the guy want me to give him 120.00 to get a new COSC. Whats the big deal with this piece of paper. I sold the watch for 3000 Total..including shipping to uk from US What do you think??
wondering if those of you with the colourful rolexes eventually get bored of them. i'm assuming if you've a multi-watch collection it's a non-issue, but how about those of you with just one watch? for those that've moved on, how long until you got sick of it? i've never owned a colourful one, but am very intrigued by the hulk and kermit, as well as the new rootbeer gmt. the only one that's never really done it for me is the smurf. really love the green and cherry dd's, as well as any of the old stella dials! of course photos are encouraged!
What's the longest time your Rolex has gone without servicing?I have a Datejust that has been my daily wearer for the last 10 years. It hasn't yet been serviced and still keeps great time.I'm leaning toward the notion if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
